Derek Devers, the Assessor for Moline Township, has been honored with the 2025 Outstanding Achievement in Property Assessment Award, recognizing his extensive career in property assessment, his significant contributions to the field, and his unwavering commitment to the residents of his township. He received this accolade during the 67th Annual State Conference of the Illinois Property Assessment Institute, which took place in Normal, Illinois.
Candidates for the Outstanding Achievement in Property Assessment Award are nominated from across Illinois, with the recipient selected by the Board of Directors of the Illinois Property Assessment Institute. Devers was put forward for this honor by several colleagues from the Quad Cities region.

He is a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer, a designation awarded by the Illinois Property Assessment Institute. Beyond his official duties, Devers is actively involved in the community, volunteering with various organizations, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley.
In her nomination of Devers, Rock Island County Supervisor of Assessments Amy Allman remarked, “Derek is a driven leader whose enthusiasm for his work is contagious, motivating those around him.
